Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How long is a typical charter?

A typical charter lasts from 6-8 hours, however we do not put a time limit on our charters.  We bring you out and try to give you the most enjoyable charter possible.  On some charters you may have a limit of fish and be done  early, on other charters the fishing may be a little tougher and you may be out until later in afternoon.  We do what it takes to make sure that you have a good experience.

Q: What happens if there is bad weather on the day of my charter?

Due to our location on the coast some weather can be forecasted and other weather appears seemingly out of no where.  If the weather is forecasted to be adverse for the day of your charter your captain will contact you in advance of your charter to discuss the weather.  If the weather appears, your captain will discuss the conditions with you on the day of your charter.  We try to make all charters happen on their scheduled days if at all possible.  If the weather is a safety concern the captain will cancel the charter.  All deposits will be moved to the next mutually agreeable date.

You can purchase a $20 3-day Saltwater Charter pass from the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries website, 1-888-765-2602 or at a store on your way to Venice.  Please note that the marina DOES NOT sell licenses.
